While on-site, hybrid course students will be required to do two rapid Covid-19 tests a week before commuting in; one on Monday morning, and one on Thursday morning. All of our team and students will need to take a lateral flow test before coming into our office. Our receptionist will ask to see your email or text confirming your test results, and take your temperature with a temperature gun. You’ll need to check-in using the NHS COVID-19 app at reception.
The space itself will be organised in a one-way system, and barriers between chairs, desks, and monitors. Masks will also be a requirement when walking around the space, unless you have proof of exemption (you won’t need to wear your mask when seated at your desk). The site will also be cleaned and disinfected every day.
The student area will be separated into three ‘zones’ where a peer group will be assigned. You’ll only pair with learners in your assigned zone while on-site. These peer groups will mix up for the beginning of each on-site section. Desks will be spaced 2 metres apart.
We will follow a strict contact tracing procedure, wherein students who test positive and have been into the office within the past 10 days must immediately isolate for 10 days, regardless of whether they are showing symptoms or not.
Makers are stringently following government guidelines, and the safety of our students/staff remains our top priority. If the advice changes, we’ll offer extensive support in making sure hybrid students can switch to remote learning.
