What equipment is required for the Makers bootcamp?
Find out what laptop and equipment are required to take part in the Makers bootcamp.
To take part in the Makers bootcamp, learners need access to a reliable computer and internet connection that supports online learning and software development work.
Most of the tools used during the programme are installed directly on the learner’s computer.
Laptop requirements
Learners should have a modern laptop capable of running development tools and programming environments used during the course.
A laptop should ideally have:
-
a recent operating system (macOS, Windows or Linux)
-
sufficient memory to run development tools smoothly
-
enough storage to install required software and course materials
Full technical setup guidance is provided before the programme begins.
Internet connection
Because parts of the bootcamp involve live sessions, collaboration and project work, learners will need a stable internet connection that supports video calls and online learning platforms.
Preparing for the course
Before the programme starts, learners receive instructions on how to prepare their development environment and install the tools needed for the bootcamp.
The Makers team provides guidance to help learners get set up before the first day of training.
