How long does it take to secure a role after the Makers bootcamp?

The time it takes to secure a role can vary depending on factors such as the job market, the type of role you are applying for and your individual job search.

Some learners secure roles soon after completing the programme, while others may take longer as they continue developing their portfolio, interviewing and exploring opportunities.

Preparing for the job search

During the bootcamp and after graduating, learners receive guidance from Makers career coaches to help prepare for the job search process.

This support may include:

• Improving CVs and portfolios

• Preparing for technical interviews

• Practising coding challenges

• Learning how to navigate the job market

The aim is to help learners confidently present their skills to potential employers.

Apprenticeships

For apprenticeships, learners are employed from the start of the programme, so they are already working in a role while completing their training.

Many apprentices continue working with their employer after completing the programme and may progress into more senior technical roles.
