Understanding time commitments and when you can take time away from coding.
The short answer is, we don't recommend it.
We generally discourage people from taking time off for any duration of time during the course for things such as holidays. The reason for this is that the 16 weeks spent learning (4 weeks precourse + 12 weeks onsite) is important to your growth as a developer, and missing even a short duration of this time can directly hamper your results of later projects.
However, once you enter a job searching phase of the course, it will be down to the discretion of careers team to allow you some time off. We also speak to our hiring partners that sometimes students would want some time off before starting their jobs at their new place of employment, so you be able to take a break before starting a new role.
We can accommodate for things such as doctors appointments or extenuating circumstances. If this is the case, please speak to your technical coach that day.
